Minimum five participants required to proceed.

1. Your experience.

The price includes ingredients, hands-on instruction, the shared plant-based meal and a small take-home recipe booklet. No specialist equipment or prior plant-based cooking experience is required. No vegan commitment is expected. The menu is as described in the current Beyond Steamed Vegetables brochure available at the time of booking, with reasonable variations possible for supply or safety, without materially changing the advertised experience. The workshop does not provide nutritional therapy or guarantee particular health outcomes.

2. Allergens and suitability.

The food is entirely plant-based, but this workshop is NOT gluten-free or nut-free. It uses cashews and other nuts, gluten-containing ingredients, soy/tofu, mushrooms and potentially other allergens. Shared surfaces and equipment create cross-contact risk. We cannot guarantee suitability for severe nut allergy or coeliac disease. Contact us BEFORE payment to discuss serious allergies, intolerances or necessary accommodations. Do not rely on simple substitutions as proof of safety. If a safe arrangement cannot be made, we will discuss a lawful and fair booking outcome.

3. Safety and participation.

Hands-on cooking involves knives, hot surfaces, stoves, ovens, hot liquids and other equipment. Participants agree to follow reasonable instructions, disclose relevant safety concerns, practise hand hygiene, wear practical clothing and enclosed shoes, and avoid unsafe conduct. We may intervene or limit an unsafe activity where reasonably necessary. These expectations do not waive our duty of care or any legal rights.

For payment, booking, cancellation, photography, materials use and other conditions that apply to every workshop, see General Workshop Booking Terms below.

GENERAL WORKSHOP BOOKING TERMS

Conditions applying to all workshops offered by Sonya Maree Kok, together with the Terms of Use, Privacy Policy and Disclaimer published on this site.

1. Payment and booking. Your place is held as a paid booking only once the full price has been successfully paid and we issue confirmation. An expression of interest, verbal intention or request for a brochure is not a paid ticket. Places are limited and availability may change before payment. A receipt and essential joining information will be provided.

2. Cancellation and transfer by participant.

We do not offer refunds for change of mind. You may transfer your place to another eligible person if you notify us at least 48 hours before the workshop, subject to our written confirmation. Illness or exceptional circumstances will be assessed fairly according to the circumstances and applicable law. Nothing in this clause limits remedies required by the Australian Consumer Law.

3. Cancellation or material change by organiser.

If minimum numbers for a workshop (as stated in that workshop's specific terms) are not reached, or we otherwise need to cancel or move the date, you will be offered a full refund or the option to transfer to the rescheduled date. If we make a material change affecting what was purchased, we will communicate promptly and provide the remedy required by law. We are not entitled to keep payments where the law requires a refund.

4. Materials and intellectual property.

Recipes, teaching materials, handouts and any take-home booklet are provided for your own personal use. They are not to be reproduced, resold or redistributed.

5. Photography and privacy.

Workspace or activity photos may be captured, but identifiable participant photographs and promotional quotes require separate permission. Declining promotional permission does not prevent attendance. Dietary and other safety disclosures are handled under the Privacy Policy and any specific collection notice for that workshop.

6. Accessibility and conduct.

Contact us before booking about accessibility needs, practical participation questions or any suitability concerns specific to the workshop. All participants should respect the host, other guests and the venue. We may take reasonable steps to protect safety and dignity while respecting customers' legal rights.

7. Related policies and jurisdiction.

These terms operate with the Sonya Maree Kok Terms of Use, Privacy Policy and Disclaimer. A workshop's specific terms control matters particular to that workshop in case of inconsistency, subject to law. Tasmanian and applicable Australian law governs to the extent permitted.
